Here's your chance to sprinkle some of that Murweh Magic onto our Visitor Guide for the  2025/2026 Tourist Season! 

 

We are looking for the next cover for our Visitor Guide and we invite you to capture a photo that showcases what this region means to you. Think landscapes, local events, or moments that highlight the essence of life here. 

Whether you're a born and bred local or you've just visited and being blown away by our shire, we encourage you to submit your best shot.  Our Visitor Guide is distributed countrywide and travels with our visitors back to their hometowns and beyond.  

Entering is simple! Follow these steps:

1. Take Your Best Shot: Showcase the true spirit of our shire in whatever way conveys what we are about.
2. Prepare Your Photo: Ensure your image is high-quality, shot in portrait style, no less than 3MB, and in JPEG or PNG format, to qualify. 
3. Submit Your Entry: Fill out the entry form below and upload your photo. Don’t forget to give your photo a name and include a brief description of why it represents the spirit of our region.
4. Agree to the Terms: By submitting, you confirm the photo is your own work and agree to the terms and conditions listed below. 
5. Deadline for Entries: All entries must be submitted by 5pm on 5th January 2026.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Organizer
   The competition is organized by Experience Charleville, within the Murweh Shire Council organization. By entering the competition, participants agree to these terms and conditions.
2. Eligibility

• The competition is open to all individuals, except employees from the Tourism Department of the Murweh Shire Council.
• Participants under [16] must have parental or guardian consent to enter the competition.

3. Entry Period

• The competition begins on 5 December 2024 and ends on 5 January 2025. Entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

4. How to Enter

• Participants must submit their photographs online via the online form found on www.experiencecharleville.com.au  
• Each participant may submit a maximum of 1 entry.

5. Submission Guidelines

• Entrants must adhere to the entry guidelines found on the entry page.
• Photographs must be original and taken by the participant.
• Images should be submitted in JPEG or PNG format with a resolution of minimum 3GB and must be shot in portrait style.
• Photographs must not contain any offensive or inappropriate content.
• By entering, participants confirm that their submission does not infringe on any third-party rights.
• By entering, the winner agrees to have his/her name published alongside the photograph.

6. Judging and Prizes

• Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, adherence to the theme.
• The decision of the judges is final and binding.
• Winner will be notified by email and telephone by 10 January 2025.
• The prize is limited to the front cover of the Visitor Guide for 2025/2026.
• The winner agrees to a photograph of themselves and a description of their photo to be published in the Visitor Guide. 

7. Intellectual Property Rights

• Participants relinquish ownership of their photograph and agree that Murweh Shire Council and Experience Charleville have rights to use their photograph for promotional purposes – whether it is the winning entry or not.
• By entering the competition, participants grant Murweh Shire Council and Experience Charleville a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display the submitted photographs for promotional purposes.

8. Liability

• The organizer is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries, or for any technical issues that may prevent entry submission.
• The organizer is not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages resulting from participation in the competition.

9. Privacy

• Personal information provided by participants will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and will not be shared with third parties without the participant's consent.
