This three-day extravaganza promises to be an unforgettable outback experience for the whole family, with an exciting line-up of events.
Attendees will enjoy a range of activities, including a rodeo, Billy Cart races, live entertainment, and world-renowned Augathella Horse Races. The rodeo action will commence on Saturday, April 8th, at 2 pm and continue with non-stop entertainment throughout the evening. On Sunday, the highlight of the day will be the annual Billy Cart Derby, followed by fireworks and entertainment that run late into the night. Finally, on Monday, the horse racing and fashions on the field will begin from late morning.
Mayor of Murweh Shire Council, Shaun Radnedge says that this year's event is one of the biggest events of the year for the region, "The Augathella Easter Weekend is is absolutely huge. It's a highlight for us, and we welcome visitors from all over the country to experience the outback hospitality," urged Mayor Shaun Radnedge.
Camping is available at the Warrego River Campground or the Augathella Rodeo Grounds for a small donation. Alternatively, visitors can book motel or caravan park accommodation.
