Overview

Located just 1.2 km off the Warrego Highway at Morven, just turn at the post office towards the police station and follow the signs. The road is all SEALED BITUMEN and when you get to the grid turn right. Gidgee's Bush Camp set in a quiet little stop where over crowding is not a problem. Poddies and pets with lots of native wild life also. You can’t see the camp from the office, it has lots of things to explore as it is filled with quirky pieces of garden art, most of which has been created by us.

With Australia's new love for off the grid or bush camping as wells as 12 powered sites. We can also accommodate 20 powered sites if they are booked as a group. We decided to start Gidgee's Bush Camp in 2018. Our camp ground offers wide open spaces for all styles of camping from tents to big rigs and very thing in between. Gidgee's Bush Camp is set on our home block of 180 acres, which we also use as a kidding block for our composite breed of meat goats. We breed the goats to sell the bucks to grazers that have bigger goat farming enterprises.

Having done lots of camping ourselves we focused on the things that we found appealing. Places for the kids to run around and explore, and an opportunity for them to feed and interact with the animals.

There are native trees around the camp ground near our newly extended dam, which provides some great camping spots for our campers. Campers can also enjoy a 2km bush walk that shows trees that are common to this area, and we continue to landscape the area for campers to enjoy.

We have a placed fire rings and plasma cut fire pits though out the camping grounds for our campers to enjoy.

We provide a special group camping area for bigger groups, but other than that campers get to pick their own spot around the camp grounds.

The coffee shop is set up in the old slaughter houses which were the only buildings on the place when we purchase it in 2006. It is a great daily hang out for our campers to use as part of the camp ground.

We have several booking options which can all be found at www.gidgeesbushcamp.com.au
